The Client
The client was an African port organisation with approximately 800 employees.
The Challenge
The client was facing a proposed expansion project and needed to identify the current and future number and nature of skills required, with a view to compiling an organisational development plan in order to meet these future projected needs.
The Work
The project involved:
- Analysing current organisational structure and recommending future structure aligned to strategy
- Analysing current versus future staff numbers and identifying skills gaps
- Making recommendations for efficiency, systems and productivity improvements
- Redesign of current and future job roles
- Conducting a talent and skills audit for all employees, enabling the identification of talent and succession pools
- Compiling individual development reports for staff at all levels, aligned to strategy
