The Tripod as Shared Language

Janis Kong, Chairman of Bristol Airport, discusses the Bioss concept of the Tripod of Work (Tasking, Trusting, Tending), and its value as a shared language for management.

Janis Kong’s executive management experience has been formed through a 33-year career with the British Airports Authority, during which she held a number of senior operational roles including being a director of BAA Plc and chairman of both Heathrow Airport Ltd and Heathrow Express. Prior to that she was managing director of Gatwick Airport. She was previously a non-executive director of the Royal Bank of Scotland Group Plc. She is currently Senior Independent Director of Network Rail, and a non-executive director on the boards of TUI Travel, Bristol Airport, Copenhagen Airport, Portmeirion Group, and Kingfisher.
