With a career built on his consulting, corporate, entrepreneurship, executive search and talent management experience, Jean-Charles Uyttenhove brings a deep, diversified knowledge and understanding of the alignment of human capital with strategy, business culture, organization, team or board dynamics.
He has acquired broad international experience, starting his career in consulting with AC Nielsen in Brussels and later with McKinsey & Company in Amsterdam. He then went into industry, where he gained expertise in life sciences with Baxter in multiple roles at European level and in the Netherlands: in the building materials industry as Group Marketing Director of the Koramic Group; then, after performing an MBO, as Managing Director of a wooden floor contractor; and later in the metals industry with a high-tech instrumentation company, IRM Group. At IRM, he had the unique opportunity to lead the entire business process from developing the strategic plan to performing and funding an acquisition before becoming CEO of the acquired company, IRMS Inc. in Columbus, Ohio (USA).
For the last 15 years, he has served with the Brussels offices of international executive search firms Odgers Berndtson and Korn/Ferry International, focusing primarily on the Industry Practice, on Board Services and on Leadership and Talent Consulting.
Jean-Charles Uyttenhove has a degree in Economics and Finance from ICHEC in Brussels, a postgraduate degree in Management from the Vlerick Business School in Gent, and an MBA from INSEAD in Fontainebleau.
He is also active as lecturer at the ICHEC Brussels Management School, and as President of the Belgian Chapter IN-Board Program of the INSEAD Alumni Association, an international program for senior INSEAD alumni focusing on all key aspects of the role of a non-executive director in quoted and non-quoted companies, including family-owned and entrepreneurial businesses.
